Hana Petalstream Villa is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station and is just a 5 to 10-minute walk from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nishi Honganji Temple and Higashi Honganji Temple.
Hana Petalstream Villa is a fully renovated, authentic Kyomachiya with over 100 years of history. Guests are welcomed with a tasteful exterior and a refined interior featuring a modern Japanese design.
Hana Petalstream Villa is a slightly larger property, and features an elegant space decorated with select antique furniture, stylish doors, paintings, and lighting.
Stylish stone-tiled hall and a refined living space with a garden view
Behind the curtain and beyond the door, you discover an elegant stone-tiled entryway. Moving further into the property, guests are welcomed with a refined interior featuring a modern Japanese design.
The space directly above the stairs leading to the 2nd floor features an atrium design exposing a large lantern-style light. This sight to behold was created by Kojima Shoten, a historic lantern shop in Kyoto. The 2nd floor features an authentic Japanese-style room with traditional tatami mats and a small terrace. Earth walls illuminated with indirect lighting and a ceiling featuring exposed beams create an extraordinary atmosphere.
The 1st floor has a Western-style room with a double bed and the 2nd floor has a twin Western-style room with two single beds. We use luxury mattresses by Simmons to help provide guests a comfortable sleeping environment. The 2nd floor Japanese-style room can be converted into a bedroom by laying out the provided futon sets (sleeps up to 3 people).
Sinks are installed on both the 1st and 2nd floors to provide convenience and comfort for large groups. The 1st floor features a spacious sink and a custom-made Shigaraki-style bathtub for a luxurious space that allows guests to gaze out into the garden as you enjoy a bath.
