Hana-Mountain Villa
Mountain Villa is an authentic Kyomachiya with over 100 years of history. Fully renovated into a luxurious and functional guesthouse, Mountain Villa is the fourth guesthouse in our Hana Premium series of high-grade properties.
Mountain Villa is conveniently located close to the World Heritage Site of the Nishi Honganji area, with a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and a 5-minute walk from the nearest station, Gojo Station on the Keihan Railway. The bustling downtown area of Shijo-dori is easily accessible within about a 5-minute taxi ride.
We fully renovated an authentic Kyomachiya with over a century of history, to welcome guests with a traditional exterior unique to Kyomachiya and a refined space designed with a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Mountain Villa is part of the Hana Premium series, the highest grade of Hana guesthouses, which offers superb quality and variety of fixtures, amenities, and guest activities.
A luxurious living space with views of the inner garden
The Japanese-style room with a Tokonoma alcove and tatami mats, merges with a modern Japanese living space, creating a cohesive and open environment with a sense of unity.
Featuring with a large dining table that seats up to six, the space offers a view of the garden from the expansive living area. It is perfect for leisurely meals and conversation.
We also offer guests of Mountain Villa various optional activities and services, including opportunities to partake in a tea ceremony and a calligraphy lesson. We also offer catered food service.
In a space adorned with a Tokonoma alcove and tea utensils, typical of Kyoto, we welcome guests from around the world.
This traditional space can be enjoyed as part of the living space, or you may close the sliding doors to completely envelop yourself in Wa (Japanese aesthetic).
A complete facility with fixtures to support a pleasant stay
On the second floor, there are two bedrooms. Towards the front, a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese spaces welcomes you. Adorned with Ryukyu tatami mats and futons (Japanese sleeping mats and linen), it provides a serene environment for a peaceful night's rest.
Additionally, there is a Western-style area featuring comfortable lounge chairs and a television.
Towards the back, a twin room is equipped with two single beds and a indulgent high-back rocking chair, creating a cozy haven for relaxation.Between the two bedrooms, there is a double vanity, shower, and toilet, ensuring the utmost comfort for our guests.
The water facilities on the first floor boast a stylish interior and high-grade amenities.
Towards the rear, a semi-open-air bath allows you to appreciate the garden while offering ample space for family use, providing an extraordinary experience.
